To find a solution and bring immediate aid to travellers in distress. This was
the mission to which Europ Assistance devoted itself by inventing assistance in the
spring of 1963.
Since the beginning, when Europ Assistance was associated with travel and exceptional
circumstances, the company's mission has expanded considerably. Today, the Group accompanies
individuals and professionals through all stages of their private or professional
lives, and is ready to intervene, including at home. Europ Assistance is also expanding
its development at an international level in order to increase proximity to its policyholders
all around the globe.
On call around the clock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Europ Assistance
provide assistance in 208 countries and territories throughout the world: answering
the phone instantly, welcoming the customer, handling a difficult situation or moments
of distress and intervening quickly and reliably - these are our skills. With the
strength of its unique worldwide network behind it, Europ Assistance has learned its
reputation for excellence: 205 agents present in every country ensure in-depht knowledge
of local conditions while a network of more than 401 000 service providers (vehicle
rentals, doctors, emergency breakdown companies, plumbers and electricians...) supply
efficient assistance worldwide. More than forty years of experience and know-how have
ensured that the company is the undisputed reference of assistance services.

In 2003, Europ Assistance has strengthened its presence in Tunisia and its neighbouring
countries, Algeria and Libya. The new company is active in the areas of health, automobile
and home assistance. It is also playing a pilot role in the Group on-site medical
care operations in North Africa and the Middle East, for oil companies, public works
and civil engineering companies and local industries.
It has a multilingual 24 hour operating centre (French, English and Arabic ) run by
20 people and a team of consultant and permanently attached doctors to the operating
centre and the medical care sites. Operating, commercial and medical facilities are
sited in Tunis, Jerba, Tripoli, Algiers and Hassi Messaoud. |
