FRANCE
With its new corporate travel range, Europ Assistance France offers innovative solutions to meet the challenges posed by new professional mobility requirements

With the "pass missions multi" (multi-missions pass) for short missions abroad or the "pass expatriation multi" (multi-expatriation pass) for longer overseas postings, Europ Assistance France has expanded its corporate solutions range to meet the changing needs of companies.

Enhanced assistance services
As medical consultations can be up to 5 times more expensive abroad when compared to prices in France, Europ Assistance France has increased the cover threshold for medical and hospitalisation costs to €1 million. Similarly, terrorist attacks, natural disasters and other incidents at home or on business premises can all be used to justify an early return. Another new feature is that staff members can now have their costs for an extended stay covered if their papers or means of payment get stolen, lost or destroyed.

Improved insurance cover
Insurance cover thresholds have also been increased for the theft, loss or destruction of luggage (including laptop computers) as well as for civil and personal liability for travel-related accidents (with a new compensation package for staff members left in a coma). A new cover solution has also been created to provide compensation for staff who are victims of attacks during their professional trips abroad.

ICARE
The new Modulea maintenance pack launched by Icare is becoming increasingly popular with vehicle distributors

Launched in early 2008, the Modulea Pack is gaining ground. It accounted for 20% of ICARE's maintenance and repair contract sales via its distributors. By the end of August this share had risen to 80%!

PORTUGAL
With its new "Auto na Hora" service, Europ Assistance Portugal offers assistance within the hour for motorists faced with a breakdown

Thanks to its partnership with Europ Assistance, the insurance company Companhia de Seguros Tranquilidade has launched its new "Auto na Hora" service. The way it works is very simple: in the event of an accident occurring within the assistance coverage zone, if the tow truck takes more than 60 minutes to arrive, this automatically triggers the payment of a €60 allowance as compensation. This service is available for policies covering light vehicles and their passengers.

USA
Europ Assistance USA provides its ID Theft prevention service to companies and their employees with "ID Be Me"

ID Be Me is Europ Assistance USA's new identity theft prevention and resolution product for the voluntary employee benefits market. ID Be Me includes upfront prevention and awareness services such as credit monitoring in addition to full resolution services with Identity Tracking. Identity Tracking is a new enhancement that searches hundreds of government, corporate, and internet sources to make sure no one is using your identity but you.
Today, no fewer than 17 million Americans are using ID Be Me

BELGIUM
DKV Belgium, the leader in the hospitalisation market, has chosen Europ Assistance

Europ Assistance's proven capacity in the cost management field, its know-how in the health sector and the high quality of its service were all decisive factors for DKV Belgium.
This partnership will also enable Europ Assistance Belgium to expand its Health business.

ICARE
As a leader in the French market for vehicle warranties, this Europ Assistance subsidiary has scooped four new contracts:

• Mechanical breakdown cover now included in GMF insurance policies
  On September 30, 2008, GMF launched its new "AutoPass" product with Icare mechanical breakdown cover.
• Icare has signed an agreement with Truck Plus, the Renault Trucks dealership group
  In June, Truck Plus launched its Second-hand HGV vehicle label with the various franchises in its network. Currently, around 40 distributors have signed up for this programme.
• Lexus and Nissan have selected Icare as a partner for their new Second-hand Vehicle Labels
• Toyota and Seat have renewed their partnership agreements with Icare for their Manufacturers' Labels.

FRANCE
At the 2008 Top Resa show, Europ Assistance France announced its latest new contracts with key players from the tourism sector:

• Carlson Wagonlit Travel France: As a leading name in corporate travel management, Carlson Wagonlit Travel France has selected Europ Assistance France to guarantee the mobility of its staff abroad. The Carlson Wagonlit Travel France solution comprises the cancellation/luggage pack and the assistance/travel insurance pack in addition to 2 further insurance packages, plus the cover already provided with bank cards.
• Marmara: From November 1, 2008 onwards, Europ Assistance France will be supplying this tour operator's clients with travel insurance and assistance services.
• Orchestra: This interconnection hub is the first Europ Assistance France partner to have adopted the Plug&Sell™ solution. Thanks to this service, the agencies can now offer their clients tailored insurance solutions according to their destinations, their planned activities and their cover requirements.

UNITED-KINGDOM
11 contracts have been won by Europ Assistance UK, involving several of the Group's businesses (Travel, Family & Home, and Automotive):

• Travel:
  The companies Interval, RIAS, A&G (Worldchoice NI) and VFS can now take full advantage of Europ Assistance U.K.'s extensive know-how in the assistance and travel insurance fields.
• Home and Family:
  Home & Legacy (First Assist), Coversure (ULR Norwich) and Heath Lambert Wakefield will now be offering their clients emergency home assistance services provided by Europ Assistance UK.
  For their part, Towergate Bakers and Gwent Hospital have chosen Europ Assistance UK for ID Theft services.
• Automotive:
  Finally, The Funding Corporation and The Motoring Organisation (Motorway Direct) have chosen Europ Assistance UK to supply roadside assistance services for their clients.

UNITED KINGDOM
Europ Assistance UK wins Insurer/Underwriter of the Year 2009 at the ITIJ Awards for the second year running

Europ Assistance UK was included on the list of finalists for the 2009 International Travel Insurance Journal (ITIJ) Awards in two categories: "Insurer/Underwriter" and "Assistance/Claims Handler", and was triumphant for the second year running by winning the Insurer/Underwriter of the Year title.

GERMANY
Europ Assistance Germany works to promote organ donations thanks to a free donor's card

On average, each donated organ saves or improves the lives of three people. What's more, 78% of Germans are favourable to the idea of donating an organ but only 11% of them actually carry a donor's card. These figures clearly show that the donation of organs is an issue which concerns us all, whether as potential organ donors or receivers. In partnership with Munster University Hospital and the "Herzenswünsche e.V." charity association, Europ Assistance Germany is seeking to promote clarity and awareness of this issue among the general population. Donor cards will be provided free of charge to support the willingness to become a donator.

THE GROUP
The Vendée Globe: The Europ Assistance Group will be innovating yet again, by testing out an interactive remote medical solution in isolated environments

As a key player in the health protection and medical field for the Vendée Globe event, Europ Assistance will be involved in defining the requirements, limitations and specific characteristics of a new solution known as RCA (Remote Control Aid), and testing these under the extreme conditions encountered during the competition.

The goal of this highly technical project is to be able to offer remote interactive medical solutions for all isolated patients from 2009 onwards, available via portable terminals typically used by the general public (including PDAs, mobile phones and laptop computers, etc).

Developed by the teams of the Europ Assistance Group's International Health Division, which manage several clinics around the world on behalf of oil and mining companies and the Vendée Globe's Medical Department, this original initiative once again demonstrates the Group's leadership when it comes to offering its clients a complete range of solutions in the field of health protection and risk management in isolated environments.

FRANCE
Europ Assistance France organised a press event in early September in Paris to present the results from Summer 2008 and the outlook for the travel sector

In early September, Europ Assistance France invited around 15 journalists to Paris, for a presentation of the results from summer 2008 in addition to the latest news and outlook in the travel sector. This also provided an opportunity to present the Plug&Sell™ solution launched at the start of the year in France.

Europ Assistance France was an active participant at the "Paris pour l'Emploi" show from Thursday 9 to Friday 10 October

With more than 450 local authorities and companies present, offering more than 40,000 job vacancies for all qualification and experience levels, "Paris pour l'Emploi" is definitely a "must-see" annual recruitment show in France. Europ Assistance France attended the event to promote its activities and to fill a number of Assistance Manager posts.

ITALY
Europ Assistance Italy was present at the TTG International Tourist Fair: Several announcements were made including a presentation of the Group's product range for travel agencies and tour operators

The event was held in Rimini over the space of three days, from October 24-26. More than 1000 exhibiting companies attended, with this latest event attracting no fewer than 31,807 visitors! This provided an excellent opportunity to discover and present the latest developments in the tourism industry and its related activities.

Europ Assistance Italy presented its range of solutions for travel agencies and tour operators, its new corporate blog, an innovative and interactive newsletter and its Ciak 2008 incentive programme backed by some highly attractive prices.

PORTUGAL
Europ Assistance was responsible for travel assistance services for the first Lisbon-Portimão Pax Rally held in September

Europ Assistance Portugal managed the provision of assistance services for rally drivers during the first-ever Pax Rally between Lisbon and Portimão from September 9-14.
