As pioneers of assistance services, the Group invented an original concept enabling it to evolve both over time and beyond frontiers by continually anticipating changes in the society.
With its millions of customers and its agents and service providers across the globe, Europ Assistance now has more than 40 years unequalled experience.
1963 > 1970 - Birth of a new concept:assistance
1971 > 1980 : Tremendous progression
1981 > 1990 : Europ Assistance wins over the world
1991 > 2004 : The Group consolidates its positions
2005 > 2010 : Out to gain world leadership		 2005
This is the year that the Group's new strategic plan starts being implemented.
Europ Assistance also continues its development on a global basis with the creation of a new company in Chile and the acquisition of a licence to develop its activity on the Chinese marketplace.
2006
The Group registers its 150 millionth assistance since its foundation in 1963.
The Group acquires the Canadian Medical Network, specialising in the management of medical services and networks.
2007
Launch of the Group's worldwide e-business platform.
Europ Assistance enters the virtual world of Second Life.
Acquisition of the Dutch company VHD and the Spanish company Coris.
