Thierry Depois,
Executive Vice President for the Region France-Benelux, Icare and Tunisia-Libya of the Europ Assistance Group
Thierry Depois joined Europ Assistance in June 2004 as Managing Director of Europ
Assistance France. He was also appointed a member of the Executive Committee and became
Executive Vice President of the France-Benelux and Tunisia-Libya Region. From January 2007, Thierry Depois will be
also entrusted with the Chairmanship of the Board of Directors of Icare, subsidiary of the Europ Assistance Group since 2004.
Before joining Europ Assistance, Thierry Depois held various responsibilities in the
tourism and automobile industries.
After three years as head of the Ile de France Regional Office of American Express
Travel, in 1991 Thierry Depois created the first call centre devoted to business travel
for the American Express Group in Europe.
Appointed business and marketing manager for Carlson Wagonlit Travel for France in
1992, Thierry Depois was promoted director of leisure activities for Western Europe
in 1996.
In September 1997 he joined the Europcar Group as marketing and sales director for
Europcar International, then in May 2000 he became managing director for Europcar
France until September 2002 at which time he became managing director of Rent a Car.
Thierry Depois, age 51, is a graduate of the ESSEC Business School.
