Executive Vice-President for the Region Italy, Germany, Central & Eastern Europe and CIS
Andrea Mencattini, who will join the Group on January 2007, will be appointed Member of the Executive Committee, Acting President and Managing Director
of Europ Assistance Italy as well as Executive Vice-President for the Region Italy, Germany, Central & Eastern Europe and CIS.
Andrea Mencattini began his professional career in 1986 in the Life Department of Assicurazioni Generali in Venice.
In 1992, with the advent of the Pension Reform in Italy, he started the new business unit Retirement and Employee Benefits in Assicurazioni
Generali Italy; from 1998 he is member of the board of directors of Generali Group Pension Fund and, from 2001, of Intesa Previdenza SpA.
He also represents Generali Group in the Life and Pension Committee of the Italian Insurers Association.
In 2001 Assicurazioni Generali established a new company, Generali Vita SpA, from the spin off of its life business, where he held the position
of Director of the Operations;
In 2004 he was appointed General Manager of Generali Vita SpA.
Andrea Mencattini, age 45, is a graduate in Business and Administration from University
of Venice.
