In Germany

Several group companies have launched local welfare initiatives. Here, you can discover a number of these activities which involve our companies around the world.

DAHIn Germany, Europ Assistance has become partner of the German AIDS Assistance Association. For every annual travel contract, the company pays 1 euro to the association, playing its part in fighting the spread of AIDS in the country.

In March 2007, the German subsidiary also set up the EuropVital e.V. Association in cooperation with Swiss Life.

Europ VitalEuropVital, (which is an association operating as a corporate body), promotes various products combining future security and investments in order to meet the needs of the elderly. Thanks to agreements with suppliers and to the blanket contracts which the association has set up, members have access to products and services especially suited to the elderly, and offered at special prices.

In 2010, almost a quarter of Western Europe's population will be aged over 60. Among these elderly people, many will be dependent for help upon their families, who may not be able to (or may not wish to) pay out the sums involved to provide care at home for their elderly relatives. EuropVital intends to meet this major demand through the provision of a large number of personal services, with the twofold aim of helping elderly people retain their independence while at the same time reducing stress factors such as housework, shopping, dealing with tradesmen, driving, or accompanying elderly people when they need to visit the doctor or the local council, etc. The key role of this association is to protect the socio-legal and socio-political interests of its members, in keeping with its role as a representative of the elderly. It therefore seeks to encourage equal treatment for society's elderly citizens compared to that offered to the younger generations in all aspects of life.
