Our local initiatives

In the United Kingdom

Several group companies have launched local welfare initiatives. Here, you can discover a number of these activities which involve our companies around the world.

The United Kingdom's Family Holiday Association (FHA) helps improve the family lives of disadvantaged parents and their children by giving them access to holidays and recreational activities (1,250 families helped in 2007).
In cooperation with its broker Citybond, for the past several years Europ Assistance United Kingdom has underwritten travel insurance for all the families that have left on holiday with the organisation and received the 2007 Special Award for its support.

In other news, a group of volunteers from all the company's entities has formed "The Green Team", which seeks ways to work in a more environmentally friendly way. As a newly established team, they are looking for ways to improve the carbon footprint of Europ Assistance and increase familiarity and awareness from amongst and within the local community.

In order to celebrate the launch of this new team and the fact that it was World Environment Day on 5th June a dress down day was agreed. Donations were collected to raise funds for a cup recycling facility.
