MAIN HEALTH RISKS

  • There is no specific health risk in the country; recommandations are similar to those in other Western countries.


FOOD SAFETY

  • Tap water is drinkable.


IMMUNIZATIONS AND MEDICATION

  • No specific immunization is required from travelers entering the country.
  • Systematically:

  • Hepatitis B: the vaccination is available for children at least 2 months old.
  • Diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis: get a booster shot before leaving if your last shot is more than ten years old.


  • Depending on the duration and conditions of the trip:

  • Tick-borne encephalitis: in case of a stay in rural areas in spring or summertime. This vaccination is available for children at least 1 year old.
  • Tuberculosis: in case of a long stay, it is recommended to have children immunized against tuberculosis as soon as they reach the age of one month, and against mumps, measles and rubella when they reach the age of nine months.

CLIMATE

  • Andorra is sunny all year long but snowfalls are important during the winter.
  • Temperatures are mild in the summer; spring and autumn are the most pleasant seasons to visit the country. Temperatures may drop by 4 or 5 degrees in altitude.
