All international travelers to mainland Portugal, Madeira, and the Azores, regardless of their origin or purpose of travel, are permitted entry without restriction.
Stricter measures are in place for the Azores. All travelers ages 12 and older must possess one of the following:
A valid EU Digital COVID Certificate indicating full vaccination against COVID- 19 or anaccepted vaccination certificate issued by a third country under reciprocal conditions. A traveler is considered fully vaccinated if they have received their second dose of a two-dose vaccine 14-270 days prior to travel, have received their booster dose, or have tested positive for COVID-19 following one dose of a two-dose vaccine. There is no expiry date for a booster dose.
A valid EU Digital COVID Certificate indicating recovery from COVID-19 or a recovery certificate issued by a third country under reciprocal conditions.
A negative result from a PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure.
A negative result from a rapid antigen test taken within 24 hours before departure.
Passengers under the age of 12 are exempt from providing any COVID-19- related entry documentation, including a negative test result or proof of vaccination or recovery.
