Nonessential travel is permitted from Schengen Area countries, and for residents of EU countries, Bahrain, Chile, Colombia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kuwait, Macao, New Zealand, Peru, Qatar, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, the UAE, and Uruguay. Nonessential travel is also permitted from any location for individuals with a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19. Entry for individuals not meeting any of these conditions is restricted to essential purposes only.
All arrivals must fill out an online registration form before arrival. Travelers arriving via air are required to fill out an additional online form prior to arrival.
Travelers with a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery are not required to self-isolate on arrival. Other permitted travelers must self-isolate for five days on arrival; this can be ended early following a negative result from a PCR test taken any time after entry to Slovakia.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice, depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
